Not sure if you would have too. This was done on a renix era Jeep.
Just did both of these recently my experience on my '88
- OFA does NOT have to be pulled for motor mounts, just pull the passenger side motor bracket. (Nice to know if you only want one thing apart at a time)
- Brown Dog suggests loosening Trans mount and re tightening once all is replaced (good time to replace Trans mount)
- No need to drain the oil to do the OFA you will only loose a bit of residual oil from the filter and OFA.
- MAKE SURE you know the part number for the o-ring kit. I trusted the parts guy and got a slightly wrong sized one (luckily I did it on Saturday and the dealer was still open).
