Ok, my jeep has had a small miss after I bought it. Put new plugs in it, and that helped a little bit. I have some rocker arm/lifter noise as well, but nothing horrible. I might replace the injectors, but if I do should I go stock or is there a bigger one that fits in its place? I have heard people swapping (I think) 5.0 mustang injectors in the 4.0. Can I do the same to the 2.5? or is there a better injector for it? or should I just stay with the stock? And what are the main problems with the 2.5? I know they are decent motors, but are there any specific problems people have with them?
Thanks!!

Unless you're planning on hotrodding that 4banger, I'd stay with stock, or close to it. Might not be a bad idea to run an oil treatment/solvent during an oil change to see if you can free up whatever is sticking in the valve train. IIRC, on a 2.5l 4banger, you can replace the lifters WITHOUT pulling the head.

BTW, you might want to note what year you've talking about.

Sorry, it is a 1994. No hot rodding of the 4 banger, just didnt know if the bigger injectors would give it a little more power and possibly better MPG. I plan to upgrade to a 6 cyl, but that is probably not until next spring unless the overtime fairy comes to visit. Just wanting this motor to run as good as possible until the motor swap.

Meh, OBD1.

Just do regular oil changes, maybe the first 1 or 2 run a motor flush/c-foam/etc through it to clean out the junk. Tune-up: cap, rotor, plugs, wires and it should be just fine for a good time.

stay with the stock injectors...i don't think there is enough airflow in the 4cyl to justify bigger injectors. if it were me, i would just flush the stockers and call it good....save that money for a 4.0L
