Hey,

I'm thinking of heading up to Hungry Valley to do a little wheeling and camping on the weekend of the 30th/1st. I'm trying to rally a bunch of friends to come up. Trip is open to anyone who wants to join. My question is for anybody in the area, Is camping doable out there? Still snow?

Thanks!

Hunter

Don't think I can make it.

My wife was in Reno yesterday and said it was snowing going through Truckee. I must still be pretty cold.

I am going to go up there a little later in May and plan to split a cheap room in Reno with someone. I am not up for getting up in the cold.

Have fun.

Weather said lows of 44 and highs of 71. Sounds reasonable, but the thought of staying at a casino so some friends can get the gamble bug out may be the wiser option. Just day trips out to Moonrocks.

i'd like to do a moonrocks mission late in may. I think i have to help my mother move the last weekend of may but the weekend before that fo sho. I'd like to go next weekend but I think there is still snow right now and i'm cool off camping in the snow and wheeling moonrocks territory in the snow is creepy, feels like the movie fargo. Peeps where stuck everywhere and i couldn't get to them to help. Maybe its melted by now who knows, i'd pm one of the reno fellers.

im down for 3rd weekend of may.
i am down to split a cheap hotel with josh and mike and whoever else.
im hoping to have the cage in and cut out the rockers and replace with 2x6 by then ...

It is nice & sunny but a bit cold. I hope to have my rig up & running by when
you guys come up. If it is ready i am so down to wheel...

So I think I'm still heading up this next weekend. Anybody been out there recently? I'd even be down for a snow run up Dog Valley. I can't go 3rd weekend of May as it's my wife's birthday.

All the snow in the Reno valley is now gone. The only bit of snow left will be in
the parts of the trail that get no sun.
