Love to... but the NW Fest clock is ticking ! I gotta finish my own junk in time, lol

Can John at acro get them any sooner?

John has a set in stock, I already mentioned Rod looking for some to him and he said they've been talking.

Hopefully John is getting you set-up Rod! I'm sure the tires could be delivered to NWfest if you end up getting them from John (I'd be willing to grab what I can if you need).

Rod. if you DO buy tires from john. I can have them delivered to your place free of charge. (on a weekend)

Rod,

I am coming down to portland next monday if you are going to do something with John. I am leaving early in the AM around 6am. I think when I come down I might be able to fit them into my rig, if i take the heep.

Next time you need tires go to Lovelys on 82nd in between Powell and division. Gene is a great guy, small and local. Gives great deals as well. At times he even has sets of great used tires.

BOD run at NWFest?

hey rod are you ever gonna put a softop type thing on the back to help hold out the rain, or gonna leave it open?

Well, some of you have heard my plans for the top... the brown truck came today :spin1:

I have my patterns all made and cut to size.

UPS delivered me 3 yards of black boat vynal this morning. There was supposed to be 1 yard of clear 30mic vynal for the rear window, but of course they screwed up and sent another yard of the black. oh well, shouldn't slow me down to bad...

the plan is basically snaps around the top portion and possibly one snap on each of the four corners of the bed rails. then 1/4" bungee thru grommets along the sides (bed rails), hooked over the sides and tail gate for easy quick access to tools and gear. My theory is that the bungee cord will also help reduce the stretching and tearing from the weather. The rear window size is yet to be determined... but will be somewhere around 15X48 ish, and only the top will be sewn on. the sides and bottom will have 1" velcro, so it can be easily opened and rolled up.

I'm sure it will end up being a saggy mess when it's done, since its my first attempt at anything like this, but it looks really cool in my head :dunce:

I'll update a bit more when the rest of my goodies show up and i start making some progress...

 Mojo

my fear is that water will pool on the main part of the cover? that could cause problems?

im still working on a solution for that... its not a very big surface area back there, so it shouldn't take much to keep it from happening... i hope.

Dude, you need to rock it! If you can do this nicely, I may cut the hole roof of my rig next summer, and beg for your services to help me cap it.
