Save The Trails!
Come show your support for OHV recreation in MN!

Know someone from Minnesota? Send them a PM about this thread!

  • When: OCT 21 2006 @ 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Where: MN State Capitol, St. Paul. Click HERE for a map.
  • Who: MNOHV with the support of Blue Ribbon Coalition and other OHV clubs.
  • Why:
    • Generate positive press for OHVs
    • Show the public we are wholesome, family oriented, contributing citizens of Minnesota.
    • Educate our fellow OHV enthusiasts that politics directly effects our recreation and we need to be politically active to win.
On October 21st of 2006 we will be having a rally at the MN state capitol. All Minnesotans are invited who think public land should be conserved for the public instead of locked away from the public.

We aim to bring positive awareness to OHVs in Minnesota. There are over 300,000 OHVs registered in MN and thousands more unregistered. We represent a significant portion of the population but we only want a small portion of public resources for recreation. Fair access for designated, registered, user groups is all that we ask for and we are simply being marginalized by anti-access organizations and the people they have swayed with their negative banter. Save the trails!

There are a million excuses why people aren't more involved. I'll get right to the point here: Anti-access groups are organized, well funded, politically active, and engaged in defeating us. Their goal is nothing short of stopping all motorized recreation in Minnesota on public and private land. Their campaign of misinformation and misguided values is on the march. Do nothing and they will win. Then what will you do with your OHV?
