MJ to XJ

yea 37's on a dana 30 definitely looks like fun
:looney:

also what's with the windshield?

Yeah 37's on a 30 is fun. All same stock componets, less the 4.10 gears and the new hubs just installed, other than that all same oh weak parts from 1993. :dunce: Lets just say I don't air down much and is very light on the gas.

I had rolled it so a temp fix was a 78 Bronco windsheild did the trick.

you're planning on upgrading the axle right?
and why not just get a front windshield from an xj?

NEw front axle why? Don't fix what isn't broke!

No activley looking for new front now, not sure what I want to upgrade to, being a 44 or a 60 both going to be the same in price and time so just debating.

As far as the front windsheild the roof is caved in enought to not put a windsheild back in and the bronco one I picked up with a hard to to go with it, going to be cutting the roof off and putting a full cage in, all in the works, just keep playing untill the weekend I do it after I find all the stuff I need.

gotta say man for a rolled XJ it doesnt look too bad.

and far as the 30 up front, i run 4.10s and a loc rite with 35s and i too have to be light with the gas.

a 44 would be really nice.......

Well thought I post a couple pics of the jeep parked outside in the lovely 20" snow on the ground with 5" more coming down tonight...

Got BPE coming tomorrow from http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xtras_barpin-eliminator.html for the front shocks, what a pita that's been. Also ordered up the Rock Krawler Track bar and bracket set up from http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0027780515&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT&viewitem= so I can be done messing with my junk that's on there now.

Well got some bumpstops up front now. Could of went another inch or so but I guess 6" will do. Rather simple install, just hope it pays off in the end.
Also for mental note sake, if you going to lift your jeep to high for a floor jack then buy a damn HI-Lift! :twak: Any one have one for sale?

explain the front shock mount conversions to me...
it seems to me now if one side droops and the other compresses the shock bushing will be tweaked the wrong way. instead of the bar pin rotating inside it...
what's the advantage/reason for these?
