Missing fan shroud ?

Can some one please advise if a 2000 cherokee sport IL6 should have a shroud over/around the clutch fan....Mine does not, if it's supposed to be there, will 90's model bolt up? I have a PULL A PART near but all they have are 90-98 on the lot.

Not 100% sure but I believe it should have a shroud on it to help direct the airflow. I don't think the pre 96 model will bolt in place but if you get a 97+ it would probably fit.

1987-2001 4.0s will work, they're all very, very similar.

Here is where I got mine. It fit great on my '92 so I'm guessing if they list it for up to a 2001 that they all should fit the same.

Yah I thought they were the same but with so many other things changing from 96/97 wasn't sure if that was one or not.

They are the same, they also cost about $13 new from the dealer.

haha i just checked with multiple different dealers from around here. They are wanting around $50!!! It's outrageous.
