Mishimoto R&D: Jeep XJ Performance Radiator

Hi everybody,

Mishimoto is in the process of developing a performance radiator for the Jeep XJ Cherokee! As some of you may know, we try to be open and transparent with our engineering process and we love to hear your feedback along the way. We're pretty far along in the process for this radiator, so a lot of this thread will be a recap, but we'd still love to hear what you all think! I should have an update for you in the next week or so, but I wanted to start the discussion ASAP.

We run a lot of big strokers in race environments and are always looking at radiators to help keep them cool.

Curious to see what you have to show us.

Also, make sure it fits. This seems so basic but it's incredible the fitament issues that are out there with the aftermarket radiators for our rigs.

option for internal trans cooler. a lot of us have gone open cooling, so a filler neck (even a filler molded into the upper hose) would be nice. There are very few options out there for people with different motors -- strokers, 350's, etc... something that can handle cooling on that would be great. build it so that it can be used with e-fans, i.e., include a shroud.

I don't believe there will ever be an e-fan config to keep a performance motor cool on a 12" tall radiator.

But anxiously waiting some details.

Interested as well. I've installed some other stuff for a 7.3 diesel. Very high quality looking products

novack has one. after a few troubleshooting issue, keeps the 350 in my xj right at 195, in the middle of summer.
