Think about how history could have been written entirely different if there had been 6 small 32 cal. Colt auto pistols in the 3 flight decks of the 3 airliners on 11 September.

When I was a kid in grade school I remember that air mail pilots HAD to carry pistols, Re; Posts Regulations.
They should never have stopped.

In the '70s, early 80s you could not tune on the evening news without hearing that another airliner had been Hijacked to Cuba.

The Hijackers favorite flight was the New York to Miami run. On one such flight a well dressed, middle aged, American business man burst into the pilots compartment, put a pistol to the pilots head and demanded, "
Take me to Miami!"

The flabbergasted pilot replied, " You blithering idiot! That IS our destination."

The pistol totin' man says, " I don't know about that, the last three flights like this one that I was on,..... wound up in Cuba
