So i finally have some mods worthy of making a thread. I got this xj because i have always wanted an xj since i was in elementary and a few months ago i picked this up. my plans for this rig is to make it a comfortable reliable dd/prerunner since it's my only transportation and i like taking trips out to baja and other dezerts around socal to spectate. Here's what i got right now but with time and money i'll slowly start upgrading the weak links and make upgrades to get over the rough stuff easier.

This is what it looked like when i bought it....

i soon had to remove the foxes because they need a serious rebuild/revalve and it was giving me a bad death wobble on fway speeds. thanks to grimm on here for halping me align and diagnose the problem for me!

soon to come are currie sportsman 3.5 coils, rebuild/revalve the foxes and throw some 5100's in the rear, full leaf pack, control arms, 97+ front end etc.....

You know, if you properly install that "SCORE" sticker(front fender, just below the style line)it'll add 5 hp?

Nice looking rig. If you're gonna' wheel, get some front tow hooks & brackets. Also, for any amount of time in the desert, get a transmission oil cooler(if it's an auto).

Did you learn about the "keep it moving and try to float across the sand" rule while your were playing in the pit?

the transmission cooler is the next thing on the list along with some hella 500 driving lights. To be fair, the tires were bald, i didn't let any air out, and it had all of our gear plus 4 big guys including me and some drinks lol...

is that a 1-ton tre on that trackbar? who makes that?

build is looking good, except for those AddALeaf's, those will result in axle wrap!
if you like going fast... make sure your bumpstops are in good condition and hitting before your shocks, those rear rc shocks wont last very long.

That's a good looking rig. But I can't figure out why you think that is stuck is there something blocking the gas pedal? Wesxj and I romped around pismo all day on some bald kirklands just saying lol.

I made it out to china wall and back in glamis in my xj when it was stock and on all terrains aired down to 8 psi. I LOVE driving in sand :D Luis you said you had 4 guys, one works the pedal the others lift the rear bumper and you're moving again, that's why I 'm going to be keeping my back seat haha :D

I don't know about 1ton but it is bigger than the stock piece. And the maker is rough country

it didn't look like a 1 ton to me when you were over here. bigger than a stock XJ TRE but not a 1 ton. maybe 1500 chevy, about that size.

Sounds about what I have on my tie rod, larger than stock end, but same taper.

small updates. so over the last few months, i've been real busy with work that i don't have much time to work on the jeep but i've slowly changed a few parts on it.
it got these really cool "vintage" centerline wheels that i scored at the jy. i got the bfg's on craigslist for cheap. my old adj trac bar was giving me crap so i stepped up to this beefy RE trac bar which made the jeep's steering nice and tight. i then added a trans cooler and a pair of hella 500's which conveniently mounted on two existing holes on the bumper. and today i installed a pair of currie adj upper arms which are super nice.
