Midwest Meet and Greet

hate to be the total noooob here, but I have never heard of this park. Im in central iowa, no where here to wheel legally so I might be up for the trip IF my rig could handle it, shes just a baby on a RE 3.5 and 31's, would I be out of place?

Curtis, I think you would be fine from what I have read about the place.

As far as wheeling in central Iowa, check out www.miobi.org they are a central Iowa based club that has their own ground to wheel. If you have thick skin and can handle some rednecks ribbing ya for being a Jeep owner, it is a good club to belong to. They are having a "open to the public" run on Memorial Day Weekend. Check them out for some new wheeling in Iowa.

Thanks guys, I will try to make it then, no promises (gotta convince the misses)

hey man, if you make it up from Carthage, could ya bring me a few cheese burritos from Gringos?? :D I love that place, I have spent many days in that joint.

Sure, leave without permission and giver her time to pack my stuff................She wants to go but we may be headed for houston to visit the inlaws at that time :hang: I hope we can make it

Ya this is Schrader.I have never been able to post on here in the past few years with my Schrader account for some reason.

As for the cheese burrito from gringos it changed owners a year or so ago and it pritty much sucks now.

Yeah I am double booked. Headed to flat nasty instead. But I did get some more parts for mine. So now some time to do some fabrication and I will be set.

Going to tuttle instead. So much closer, and a much better park.

According to the weather which will change. No rain all week. and almost 80 by next weekend. That should give the park a little time to dry out. They got a little rain this weekend.

warm windy weatehr is helping to accelerate the drying of my fields, so I will possibly be planting by Thursday night or Friday morning, if that is the case I am not gonna make it down. Gotta get the crops in ahead of any other obligations at this point.

Yeah I'm going. I'm still trying to figure out a back-up plan on how I'm going to get there and then home on Sunday night. Sat is the Parks Trail Maintence Day so there will be 3 clubs there working. Start a list

1. 3 from Brushbeaters ( they may be working for the first part of the day and joining us in the afternoon.)
2.Parakeet
3.(Possibly) Tyler
4. Henry (I am an Noob, so feel free to say hello when you see me)

Also if you could let me know if you are going to camp. Keep in mind it is primitive camping only. There is no running water so keep that in mind. Also don't forget $10 per day and $5 to camp. The park is on summer hours so there is plenty of time to wheel.

I added myself to the list, pending that everything checks out when a friend gives my XJ a safety run down. Not sure if I will be going Saturday or Sunday yet.
