Matching bumpers with tire carrier

Alright, so the word is out. I'm moving to Italy in a few weeks. I have no where to store my spare 35", so I need to buy a rear tire carrier. I need help picking/finding front and rear bumpers that match and have a tire carrier.

I'll start. Here's my first vote:

THe only thing is that your tires will eat or get eaten by that rear. I like em though.

Agreed, would def look for a rear with more flex room. I see Logan's is making tire carriers now? in addition to the usual JCR, Olympic, Hanson & Warn.

I'll throw in my .02, and say that the tire carrier swinging to the right has the advantage of swinging away from the road if you are on the shoulder, but with the tire offset to the right side you will have zero visibility from the driver's seat.

I had mine built at RSOR swinging to the left and offest to the left so I can at least have some visibility from the driver's seat out the rear both in the mirror and looking over my shoulder.

Those appear to be built well enough though and should work, but it also looks like the winch mounting was an after thought and looks a little odd sticking out as far as it does.

Granted that function is far more important than form, I still prefer a front that looks more integrated.

I really like this front, but their back is horrible looking and doesn't have a tire carrier. Anyone know if 35's will clear this front bumper?

EDIT never mind it made by trailready and your right the rear is horrible! And that bumper cost more than I paid for my Jeep :( (1099 for the front)

I LOVE that bumper! Who makes it? It looks really expensive :)

I like the new rear from MORE...it looks like it's attached really well. Not sure about their front.
Moab4x4Outpost made a really high and tight front bumper if I remember correctly, but I don't know if they make a rear.
I've got the JCR, and other than the tie in brackets not lining up, it's been pretty good, and I've seen a NEWER bumper from JCR, and they have increased the size of the spindle considerably from my version. It looks MUCH stronger.

Anyone have photos of their rear bumper? I found that they sell one without the vertical bars, but can't find photos of it.

what kind of vertical bars do you speak of?

Check corners of the bumper.

Yeh, I'm a fan of Trail Ready bumpers, but no tire carrier...I'll bet those tail light guards are effective. I like their front also. I'm a fan of those bars going up and around the front grill, ie ARB style. I've saves body damage on trees, rocks, etc. with those front end bars.:viking:
