Master Cylinder Problem

oops. i got another one. when i am bleeding the line, do i need to be replacing the cylinder lid between pumps or just make sure that the fluid level doesn't drop too low. can taking off and putting back on the lid cause any air to get into the lines? thanks again.

definetly have the cap ON when the pedal is being pumped or any other kind of work on the system. I'm using the factory type slave for now until I do an external slave swap. it looks like a pain to try and make an adapter to use the factory line, so I'm going to a local speed shop that carries Russel braided line products and see if I can make a custom braided line for it. this is the stuff that exites me!

well, here it is into the new year and I'm still working on my clutch m/c. my jeep has been parked for three months as I've been kept pretty busy. I am a single parent of a boy crazy 16 year old girl! there is no rest...

I didnt like the way the lip on the firewall had to be hammered in for the howe m/c to fit so I made a 1/4" aluminum spacer. now it fits beautifully with only the clip-spring rubbing a touch. I'm going to run the stock clutch line for now. just needs a little bit of bending and an adapter . I picked up a 90 degree brass elbow with 1/8 NPT for the m/c end and 3/16 line for the clutch line. problem is the flared end of the clutch line is about 1mm to wide to fit in the elbow. parts droid was useless trying to figure out another size. I think it might be metric. anybody know what size the fitting is on the m/c end of a '90 clutch line? hoping to get it on the road soon as we are expecting a few inches of snow here!
