Making control arms

Well , I am researching on how to make some lower control arms. I have found a shop that will sell me some Superflex joints for dirt cheap & already have some chrommoly tubing. My questions are; do I run a flex joint & polyU bushing or double flex joints ? & I already have adjustable upper control arms made (5-7.5") Do I need to bother making lowers adjustable at all ? & are there any links to tips & tricks to making control arms ? :worship: NAXJA

If you make them adjustable, you'll have that much more adjustment. I would do them adj. if I were you, I did on mine.

I also went with a JJ on one end and rubber on the other. Poly is just too stiff for my taste. But I would go with some bushing, as your ride will be a harsh mutha with 2 hard joints.

its not that the ride is harsher with two hard joints, but it is a lot noisier. just remember that if you make the lowers to much longer then your effectivly pointing the pinion down and if you don't have a disconnect then you will suffer from driveline vibs in the front. I corrected mine with a $500 driveshaft jsut because Ididn't want to make uppers.

True about the hard joints.

How about: Something's gotta give somewhere or there's gonna be cracked parts eventually because of it.
