LSD in my dad's F150

Pops was complaining about some jerking in his 2004 F150. When I tested it there was some definite wheel hop right after starting but it cleared up after a couple of blocks. His LSD seems to be really aggressive when the fluids are cold. Is this normal? Anything I should tell him to do?

Recent fluid change? Modifier? What weight gear oil?

He says it's been like that since he got it from the factory

Should have been a gear oil change along the way at the dealership, around 500/1000 miles.

Has the gear oil been changed in the past 5/6 years?

also get the limited slip additive available at vato-zone or o'reilly's. it'll help with smoothin that thing out.

My brothers 08 is the same way. Tight when its cold but it loosens up quite a bit when the fluid warms up.

My 06 F150 with LSD does the same thing the first couple of tight corners I take before it warms up. Sorta feels like a shudder as the the inside rear tire scuffs a little bit.
