Lower radiator support cross member options?

I have to replace the lower radiator support cross member. Is this piece structural and I have to use the look a like stock replacement or is there a stronger option that can be made or bought? First time jeep owner and need input plzzz.

ANGLE IRON is what I've seen people use you can cut it up to make it look like the stock piece or leave it straight :greensmok

anybody have any pics of your aftermarket or home fab lower radiator support member?

I want to do mine with a piece of 2X6 tubing to add extra strength to the front end. Should not be too hard but you will have to make provisions for radiator mounting, and fan shrouds,
