so we might get up to 12"(some say up to 24") of snow in NOVA.

gonna be a fun day driving around finishing up the xmas shopping!

guess i better head out like all the other retards and get bread and tp!

i got about 4" earlier this month but it had melted by the time i got off work. it was a weird storm, i have never seen a snow storm so defined. i drove to work saturday morning and had about and 1" at the house. half way to work the snow stopped, didn't even have a flake on the ground at work in alexandria(about 20 mins, or 10-15 miles from fairfax).

i really hope we get slammed! i need the cash, between plowing and recovery of stuck cars i make a bunch of extra cash. i've been eyeing a locker and otk steering setup.

At least NOVA has sufficient snow plows and salt. Living in Boone, snow is no big deal because they are ready to take care of the roads, and most of the drivers know what they are doing.

Back here in Cary, all hell breaks loose. 2 inches grinds this "town" to a halt.

Everyone else doesn't know how to drive. But who needs roads plus I hav driven in 60 inches of snow before

ok people in nova have no clue how to drive when its clear, its a shit show when the white aliens start falling!

i've driven thru nc when there was ice on 95. they shut it down at one point and i spent 8 hours sitting on 95 at night, fun times!

I'd feel safer driving in 24" of snow in Boone than just flurries down here, or in NOVA period. Those people are straight scary on the road no matter what.

Went to bed last night and they were calling for rain. Woke up this morning and it was 2-4" of snow with a winter storm watch. Got home from work tonight and it's 1-2" of snow with a winter weather advisory. So, in other words, they have no friggin idea what it's going to do, and they won't know till after it's done.

On the other hand, long range forecast is showing another shot on Christmas Eve...now THAT would be cool!

True, so true! My big brother lives in Alexandria and the people up there can't drive on a nice July day.

yeah i gotta drive thru the worst of it every day to get to work. throw alittle snow in and there will be cars pointing the wrong way on the beltway(main highway around dc). most of the morons stay home which is good. then you have a few idiots that think just cause they have 4wd means they can do the speed limit or higher, god i love pulling those guys out!

The local weather men are saying we may get as much as 14-18 inches:clap:

Most folks around here are good at driving in it and the snow we had last weekend weeded out a few idiots who are now car-less so it should be some good driving tonight in the mountains.

I have 7 Jeeps in the driveway that are just waiting for the chance to play!

The first one I want to try is our new Hemi Commander, I hear the QT2+Hemi power is fun in the white stuff.

Looking like they're calling a slushy 1-3" here in Charlotte...but 60 miles north in Winston 8-12"!!!

It's been forever since it's snowed on Christmas here. That would be something awsome!!! The kids would love it!

No, no, no....No snow. I've got tickets to the Titans/Dolphins game Sunday. I don't wanna be freezing my butt off in the snow.

Just because it snows doesn't mean you'll freeze your butt off. Now if it drops to 10* then you'll freeze your butt off. :roflmao:

Well mom called and with in about 3 seconds talked me into going to stay with them in Winston for the weekend to see the snow lol. If the snow won't come to me, i'll go to it!

And maybe if my old man's not busy i'll take a ride up to his shop we and can throw the manifold on the Jeep.

The only way to play a football game:

Got about half an inch so far in Winston...roads were getting bad quickly. Lots of people stuck in the ditch on the side of 421 and 40.

It started at 2:20pm and we now have about 6" of dry powdery snow. I just went out playing in the Hemi Sled (Commander) and drove around for about 30 miles in the county I live in. My wife and I counted more than 200 cars/SUV's wrecked and/or stuck.
