might be related to the thickness of gear oil you run. the thicker, the quieter.

I forget what I put in it. I think it was 80w-90 Lucas. Its seriously quiet. No noise at all.

yep. i picked up a copy for dr.s office reading material. it was an interesting read.

i love the aussie in the front of my xj. its been in there since oct 06. it helps a ton off road and bearly lets me know its there on road. running a thicker oil helps keep it quiet. its fun to watch people look at me funny when i make a sharp turn into a parking space. some people have told me that my jeep was broke and i told them it was ok. they looked at me funny with that.

You will be very happy with it up front. You better buy some armor/skids. You will go places that you don't need to be without protection!
