Led, well I don't know that for a fact, but with all the motor swapping going on at your place, I thought you might know where to look.

What I am wanting to do is get rid of the ac compressor. So I'll need a idler pully and a bracket to mount the pully to.

If anyone has one they'd sell. get with me @ [email protected]

If you don't remember the name, you'll remeber the door.

I don't think you need an idler pulley. Why don't you just get a shorter belt? Just remember to write the length on the underside of the hood so you can always find it. If you come up with a length, most autoparts stores can help you. The length is normally encoded as part of the part number.

Thanks Tom, I'll look into that, I just knew that XJ's without a/c had a bracket and an idler pully.

i lost count of how many times jeff had to run out and reset the breaker the day i was there w/ that propane heater a-flowin'!

maybe you guys could "borrow" some from the hangar next door...

...or just turn off the stereo.

We'll figure out something to get more power-dont know what- but something.Keeping the stereo off does help.So does turning off everything when the welder is being used.I just wish that damn breaker box was on the other(closer)end of the building :wierd:

Has anyone ran without the compressor or idler pully? I looked for a while but with limited lighting, I couldn't see how to route the belt.

If not, I'll be talking to you (Led) about getting one from you, if your willing to sell one that is.

Not posative but I think you need it to keep the water pump turning the correct way or I dont think jeep would have made a bracket and pulley.Much cheaper to just run a shorter belt
