long, medium, & short arms ?

Please, somebody correct me if I am wrong - but the RE brackets are 1/4" thick and not likely to go anywhere. Additionally, long arms have to be mounted somewhere on the frame rail, correct? So wouldn't you lose clearance there, too - only worse since it is further from the front tires?
Based on what I know, I'd go with RE drop brackets & braces. Cheap, restore ride quality, gojeep runs em and hasn't any complaints, and parts for control arms are easier to find if they are stock compatible.
Any long arm can be made 'stock' compatible by using stock rubber bushing craddles. I've got Drop brackets and they work just fine... I'm now interested in doing a 3 link. If you get the frame mounts high enough up into the frame rail then you won't have any loss of ground clearance. But for what I do (no rocks) - 2" of lost ground clearance isn't going to hurt me... Especially since theres like 3 ft of clearance under the thing.

Edit: Plus what he said ^^^
