long arm question....

The 4 link will limit flex because it will bind with the track bar... I would highly suggest running the 3 link since it will not bind at all. It uses a factory crossmember, but a lot of aftermarket stuff will work with it to. If youposted pictures of your belly skid up I could tell you pretty easily if it would clear or not.

This is true but it is much looser on the street if you plan to drive it there. IMHO, I would like to add a 4th link in mine and then remove it when wheeling. It would take all of 10 min with an electric impact to remove it.

ask and ye shall recieve. only pic ive got of it right now.

i noticed that the RK brackets use the cross member bolts to bolt it on. and my tnt skid used the 3 bolts (2 original cross member bolts) and the 3rd is the front nutsert. it also uses the same side frame bolts on the drivers side that the longarm crossmember does(but only the drivers side it doesnt have the pass side like the long arm)

You would have to notch the front of the skid just slightly to clear the lower link mount, but it would still work just fine with the RK kit.

Glenn, I have driven several Jeeps with 3 links, and I have never felt this "loose" feeling that you are describing... are you sure they didn't have worn out bushings or heims??? Just wondering... Brent's jeep drives great and so does my truck.

That's what I figured. The RK brackets use all three cross member bolts or what?

No, just the 2 that hold the factory crossmember. Plus you have to sleeve the frame in 2 places on each side.

Is Brents running the ORI or is that a different owner? I doubt its the JJ on my long arms. LOL! I was just putting my .02 on what I felt when I went from 4 short arms to 3 long arms.
