Here is a faq on posting photos, but I only see the spot to put in a url, not the browse button.

I'm currently running firefox most recent version on a PC.
I opened up Internet Explorer and when I entered password, it says thanks for logging in, and then took me back to the log in screen.

I thought maybe a cookies problem, so I tried on a completely different machine, and exactly the same thing.

Go to the forum first, not the front page, to log in.

As for the photos, it seems to say here you can upload from your computer.
Again, I tried on three different machines and never saw the manage attachments button. Only the paste url.
Maybe these instructions are outdated?

Attachments and Images How do I attach a file to a post?
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.

We do not host photos on our server. If you'd like to post pictures in a thread, they need to be hosted on a third party site (photobucket, Flickr, etc) and post the link to the picture using the "img" command.

Where is this picture hosted?
I guess tapatalk does their own hosting?

But even if that is true, your own instructions say

"On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer"

So if you don't host pics here, you should remove those instructions, as I spent a dozen hours trying to figure it out.

Attaching files to a given post are one of the perks that go with (red letter) paid membership. I don't know if that is included with (green letter) "Forum Supporter" membership. I was searching that information when I saw this thread.

One caveat to using attachments is that only paid members will be able to see attachments... When they are logged in.

HTH

Those instructions are correct and current.

And that ability is a paid member perk as mentioned.

Now we get to the bottom of it, thank you Mike.

well not in an effort to cause drama but in an effort to help you, as a 25 year marketing veteran, and a member of at least 15 different message boards over the last 20 years, that's a horrible marketing decision. You guys need to get as many people posting as many posts as you possibly can which will give you more click through which will give you more ad revenue. That will make the membership fees chump change.

You can use a third party site such as photobucket to post a pic. Just can't upload to the forum if you aren't a member.

mac 'been that way since we started using vBulletin' gyvr
