I have had it for a couple of weeks but coaching football has kept me busy. I just got a chance to paint it up and put it on today. I also added my $50 Warn XD9000i winch as well.

My first impression of the bumper is its a good balance of a strong winch box with the weight savings of 1/8 steel on the rest of the bumper skin which is fine with me. I have been bumper-less for 3 years so I have gotten use to taking it easy around obstacles. The bumper weighs around 80#. The 1/4" mounts extend all the way back to the furthest most frame hole with 6 grade 8's on each side (you supply the hardware) and 5 grade 8 1/2"-13 bolts holding the bumper to the mount. The fit was perfect and the finish of the "raw steel" was smooth and needed no further finishing. It was well worth the money and LMP's service was great. I drilled it out for the lights and also made my own center CB antenna mount. I bought the winch from a fellow local wheeler who bought it new but had troubles with it each time he used it. It turns out there was a bad connection at one of the terminals inside the motor case. I repaired that and it works great. I have not winched with this set-up yet. If there are any issues I will post them up.

The bumper looks good. Now you need to paint the sliders & rims to tie it all together. JIM.

The Rims, Jim? I don't think that would look right at all.

Or the 94 XJ Country or the 00 XJ Classic

:D

We are a Jeep family. The trail rig looks better in pics than it does up close and there are a few dents in it now from the last wheelin trip.

thats a nice lookin fleet of jeeps

Traded my family tow rig Commander in last tuesday. Just found that the back seat area was way too small for three kids. I hope you have better luck though. I really liked my commander. I just fell they tried to squeeze way to much into it. They should have made it a lil more roomy.

Oh and incase you are thinking about removing the Air Box restriction flap or adding a K&N air filter for better MPG. Don't waste your time or money I got 0 noticeable increase in MPG.

Only one kid still at home now, the others are older. Was yours a Hemi? We are getting 13 in town, 16 mixed, 21 highway. Thats good enough for me!

Thanks, I was trying to be different. There are way too many black winch bumpers out there.

Yes there are but black and white go together! ;) Looks sweet!

No i had the 4.7l V-8 14 around town and 18hwy. I only saw 20 driving down hill on ice!

Maybe they have improved hwy mileage since 2006 lol.

Yes they have, the newer Hemi cuts back to 4 cylinders on the highway (normal driving). I was told by most that the new Hemi would get about the same mileage as the 4.7 but with more towing capacity/power. So far I'm not disappointed!!
