First off, i have a 92 XJ, with D35 and ABS! THe lockright is in the rear. I bought it used and have had it in for about a month. It seems latly(didn't do this at first) it is poping/slaming really loud when i go around corners, and now even when i'm going straight down the road? It pops and then the Jeep jumps to the left(always the left)!! It normaly stops after a few hundred feet, but then every once and while it just randomly happens drivign in a stright line, and the jeep jumps left again? It also seems to happen more when there are more ppl in the jeep with me! It also slams alot when i'm going up steep hills, it sounds like my rear end is going to exploid the whole way up the hill! Does it sound like teh Locker is messed up? Also my brake light has been coming on alot latly, could my rear brakes be messed up and causing all this noise and jerking? Please give any advise you may have, i dont want to have to get rid of the locker, but if this keeps up, I will have too!!

Some of the quirks you have mentioned are normal for a Lock-right. I would be concerned about the this,

You brakes can effect the lockers operations as well as your tire preasure. I would say your should check both the brakes and your lock-right. If it is used and has some mileage on it, it may need some new pins and spings. The pins and springs are cheap and I think Randy's R&P has help othes in the past.

Also, if everything looks good and you have replaced the the pins&springs, add some of that Lucas Lubricant to your diff. I had used it with my Aussie locker and it has made it almost invisible.

You will still feel the torque steer, thats common with automatic lockers/ spooled/welded rears.

my first thought is tire pressure/diameter.... is one worn more than the other? put the spare into rotation recently? like was stated some of these are normal characteristics of a lock right

Ok just got home from a very interesting night! All dates should invole 20 minutes in a parking lot, but that time shouldn't be spend removing a rear driveshaft because the locker is messed up and no power is going to either wheel!!!! I was pulling out of a driveway and it started making lots of noise and it wouldn't go, could hear it spinning, but no tire movement!!! It was not a fun night!! So i'm thinking its probably the springs are shot? I have put less then 100 miles on it since i put it in(has around 30,000 total though) and the teeth were all fine when i put it in? Anyone have any more thoughts? Not too happy, driving in Front Wheel Drive is no fun, and I have a 200mile drive on wensday(might have to cancel it)!
