Local Tire Barn charging arbitrarily for rims!?

So I called up my local Tire Barn, asked them how much 15x8" Cragar Soft 8 wheels would be (5 on 4.5 bolt pattern)... they called me back about 20 minutes later with a quote as $99.99 each with an extra $10 for the center caps each.

Does that sound right?

I went to Summit Racing and found the same wheels for $36.95 - http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=/egnsearch.asp&N=400292

I don't know if that's just a ridiculous special sale from Summit or what, but I like to buy locally, yet it seems Tire Barn is just rounding up to what they feels like will make them a good amount of profit? They really had no clue at first when I called them, so I imagine they got the wholeseller price, then just jacked it up to what felt right. :(

Anybody had experience with a Tire Barn? Or perhaps could help me find some 15x8 rims locally for a reasonable price? Thanks! :)

McFly-I don't know if there is a Discount Tire in B-town, but when you get your tire situation sorted out, they were the "cheapest" for my 35" MTR's after calling all over. I did get a $80 rebate which helped. Just my .02 for Discount Tire. I got my rims(ar767's) from Quadratec, I **think** about $50 per give or take.

that is way too much. if you need some wheels or tires, I have a friend that uses the same distributor that 4 wheel parts does. he could probably hook you up with a good deal. let me know what you want, and i'll check into it.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions and advice.

I ended up ordering four of those wheels (with center caps) from Quadratec, SHIPPED to my dorm room on campus for about $196. :) Screw Tire Barn @ wanting them for $99 each LOL!!!
