tough trucks

I thought I'd share some pics from the tough truck show at the clark county fair. I snaped two brand new deuche tech shocks, bent the hell out of one brand new re coil, blew the head gasket, put my drag link through the oil pan, welded a piece of my fender over the hole then did it again, broke the crossmember in half, bent two controlarms and snapped 2, and bent the front axle bad!!! However, I brought home 3 plaques for team xj in the chummer!!

plans in the near future are black soft 8's, 31's and a RE 3.5 lift.

I have a 1985 Jeep Cherokee and it is a work in progress.
Right now it is fully stock. nothing fancy except for the nice new white shocks :D but other than that, it is your old normal 85 XJ.
I am hoping to get maybe at least a 4" lift this winter with some nice BFG Swamper tires. There are some few problems with my jeep. I need to do a diagnostics test to find out if there are any more problems I dont know about. But my problems include,
A bad carburetor, the wiring harness (for the whole jeep), fuel gauge/tank problems and just your average paint peeling. Like I said it is gonna be a work in progress. I will document my progress for you guys when I start putting on my mods.
I bought this jeep for only $600 and did not expect it to be in the best condition.

These arent the best pics but here is what I have now:

dont worry, your not the only one with windshield wipers that dont work

since its been a wile i guess ya'll disirve an update on my Mr Jeepy.

all stock except for the 3" procomp with full packs in the rear (now i see what all the fuss is around the stiffness of these.) 235/75/15 maxxis bighorns on 15X8-3.75bs streetlocks. looking at a set of swamper LTBs, something in the 31/11.50/15 flavor.

anyway, here it is as it sits now. On the side of MtS in northern Ca. (it wont let me spell it, keeps showing as a smilie beating a dead horse) above the ski park.

California.

I don't see a dead horse. :dunno:

EDIT: Though, now that you mention it, I like that idea. Make commonly mispelled words show up as embarrasing smilies rather than the word.

S H A S T A .. the letters h-a-s-t-a are the short cut for the dead horse smiley.

Nice XJ and beautiful location. I grew up in that area and the Trinity range as well - still love it.

Next time, space out your pictures one line at a time. Looks like Lake Isabelle in a couple pics? Good looking rig...and I assume the Bushwhakers are taken off for the trail?

-----Matt-----
