Local gear shop

29 spline 8.25

is that the D35? you should probably hold out for a D44 or Ford 8.8. unless you just want to go for looks, wheelig a D35 may not end well unless you're very light on the pedal.

there was a guy selling on on here in the EE or check your local junkyards for one from an Exploder or crown vic.

29 spl 8.25's are comparable to a dana44 so.. no thats not a 35

no not a d35....8.25s a significantly beefier...only thing comparable is the 8.25 and 35 have c-clips.

Referring to my previous post the reason i ask you what axle you were gearing is that if worse comes to worse I can gear them for you for a cheaper price. I'm doing a few customer axle at the moment so I'm not sure when the time will free up but just throwing that offer on the table.

Anyway good luck with the build.

Bandit Offroad used to do them for $200per axle

to the OP, i have a built up D30 front and CH D44 rear, both 4.56 with aussie lockers if you are interested in them.

i think i am going with a D60 and Ford 9 or something soon. the axles do need seals and should be gone through but can be done without any special tools, also easy as they are not in the XJ.
rebuild, clean up, primer, paint bolt in and go. PM me if you are interested.

doin big things with her eh

Hahaha ya, some of the deals I get since I work for Clayton now are too good to pass up. I also have a problem with things that are "a good deal" like currie ford 9 3rd member housings or RockJock center sections.
I figure since the rear axle needs brakes and a seal I'll just replace it with a 60..... Right?

Well that and, I'm goin full retard I think.
