THose of you who don't do your own gears, who do you go to in the DFW area?

I am going to do mine some time in the Oct. The only thing I have left to buy is a hyd press. I looked for a shop in Fort Worth to do the job, but everyone want at least $350 per axle for labor. For $700 you can easily buy the tools needed to do the job in your garage.

You can actually buy a decent press at Harbor Freight for dirt cheap. Alot of their tools are junk, but I have found that most of their hydraulic stuff is pretty good.

I called James today and he quoted me a hell of a price. I am going to drop my jeep off next week. I will let yall know how it turns out.

Thanks man, I'm going to give him a call Friday.

Yeah that's a pretty good price... since I'm so busy I'm just gonna let him do it for me. Thanks for the referral x2elite.

As a side note, I swung by a shop on Friday and asked what they'll charge to swap them out... they wanted $1150...

I asked, "Is that including parts?"... then laughed when they said no.

Subscribing... as soon as I get some $$ Ill be doing 4.56's

I was pretty patient with mine, grabbed a barely used set from Craigslist for $140 (front and rear).

Yea, I think I'm going to 33 10.50s. Make me an offer mabye we can work something out. Those tires only have about 5000 miles on them.

I got my jeep back yesterday. I'm pleased with install, James is a good dude. The nitro gear 4.56 gears are quiet. Nitro gear is a new company, only time will tell in the quality of there gears. I had forgotten how aggravating it is to drive on the street with a Detroit locker. I'm sure I will get over it the first time I get in the dirt. If you need gears installed in the DFW area I would give James a call.
