Local fish tank gurus, I need help!

it starts with a G, and its made with 2 chemicals you can't buy anymore without a chemists license, lol. I found a recepie online. This stuff is like warm fudge, really a pain in the ass to work with.

The tank is sealed by this stuff, the glass doesn't butt together like a newer style aquarium, the sides meet the front and back panels at the corners of the glass with this tar filling the gaps. its sealed by the all the way around the metal framing of the tank... think of the tank frame as a box with windows cut out, and the glass is siliconed in to cover those windows. that's the best way I can describe it. the frame is holding the tank together, not the glass. it's not just trim its the structural base of the tank.

and its built like a brick sh!thouse, lol. Anyone know any tricks for polishing up stainless steel? i need to buff some scratches out of it.

I picked up the new glass for the bottom yesterday, and tonight XCM stopped by and siliconed the hell out of it for me. It looks great! I'm going to let it set up till this weekend, and hopefully sunday I'll be able to fill it up with water and be leak free!
