I just got my new Stinkyfab Racing shackles and I thought I would give you guys a comparison to the Iron Rock off-road and a 5” Rubicon Express shackle I had laying around.
All 3 are 1/4” steel, but the SFR overall is bigger with the leaf ears and overall shackle being thicker. The 5" Rubicon Express shackle is pretty small, and does not have a boomerang angle.

The leaf ears and overall shackle being thicker. The round bushing bucket on the Stinkyfab shackle is 1/4” and the IRO one is 3/16.
You can see in the picture that the IRO shackle actually angles back after the cross brace, while the SFR one is straight, but achieves its boomerang kick back by the busing bucket being offset from the main body of the shackle vs the IRO one which is on the top.
I bent the crap out of my IRO shackle doing the Rubicon and Dusy Ershim last year. The SFR one looks beefier, I am hoping that the full body of the shackle being straight makes it stronger.
The length of the SFR from center of the bushing hole to the 2 leaf mounting holes is 5 1/2 and 6 1/2”, slightly longer than the IRO one which is 5” and 6”.
The IRO comes powder coated and the SFR comes as raw metal. The IRO shackles are $80.00 + shipping from Minnesota, SFR are $119, but ship from
San Diego. I live in California so shipping was a lot cheaper on the SFR shackle. I'll report back on how the SFR racing does once I get it mounted and bash it on some rocks!
