so i decided to start my lifting of the heep
and so far i have the front coils on i hope they are on right?
still need to hook up the track bar but im probably going to order a new one...
gettin ready to go do all the shocks and take my hitch off
sorry no pics yet will post soon ( and i am doing this all by myself with the help of noone and its been 3 hours so far) IM LOVING IT

If you set the coils side by side and one is a little taller...it goes on the passenger side.

Good Luck!

Dood..... leave that hitch on there. You need tow points when running trails and that hitch is as good as it gets until you can make/buy bumpers with them built in.

:twak:

i gotta take the shakle bolts off though dont i?

Yeah, but the hitch shouldn't be in the way........ if you're doing it right. If you can't remove the lower shackle bolts from the leafs (because the bolts come out toward the hitch) then remove the top shackle bolt and drop the shackles with the leafs, transfer the shackles over to the lift leafs and re-install.

didn't think of that i was going to do it the hard way

LOL! Stick with the Chapter newbie...... we'll keep you on the "easy" path if you let us.

Another tip: Remove the lower/inner bumper bolt that sticks inside the shackle box. You don't need it and your shackles will move just that much further by not hitting that bolt.

I can't remember - did those lift leaf packs have the degree shim mounted to them? I'm thinking they didn't........ you really should get a set of 4 degree shims to move your pinion up...... otherwise, you're probably gonna have vibes. If not the shim, then do a t-case drop. The rig those came off of had a custom made drive shaft which I now have on my '96.

Nice! You're very fortunate with those leaf spring bolts, as dozens upon dozens of "My front leaf spring bolt is stuck! Help!!!!" sort of threads should show ya. :D

Oh, and I have some shims you're welcome to if you want 'em. I pulled them off my RC springs 'cause I needed to g0 a little bit bigger. They're either 3 or 4 degree shims - I need to put my angle finder on them again to see for sure.
