So sparty are you going to get that XJ of yours running or not? Too bad you don't like closer to me, i would get it running, and all the bugs worked out for you. I get bored easily, and need a side project to waste more time on.

I want to get it running. But I don't have anymore tools. All the ones I had slowly started disappearing. (I'ma shoot someone...) And it's just sitting at a shop. They said they were going to fix it, but it's been there for two months. Untouched. They're doing me a favor right now as for storage. Once I find someone that will help me i'll go get it out.

$800 isnt basicly free, unless it came with all the stuff on it. i paid a grand for my white XJ. and that was a small fortune to me, but the best investment i made.

Yes, it cranks, and runs, just...not too well. Wont go over 2k rpm.

Not a stupid question at all. My XJ is a POS, but my check engine light functions properly.

So, step 1 for Sparty.....replace/fix check engine light.
Step 2 check engine codes.
Step 3 check fuel pressure.
Step 4 check MAP sensor.

Let us know how all that comes out. If that doesn't fix your problem, we can try other things.
