Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow..

I toasted a front hub today, limped back home, will change it out tomorrow after digging out my driveway.

I may hit the main roads everyday for a while.
Saw a snowmobile out here...

Made a few observations today while driving in the white death:
1. Grocery stores, gas stations, Walmart and McDonalds will stay open no matter how bad the weather.
2. People think that because they spent $70,000 on a BMW that it SHOULD be able to drive through anything.
3. Don't drive through an unplowed parking lot at even 10 mph unless you know exactly where the curbs and "planter islands" are (guess how I figured this one out)
4. Even though you probably wouldn't walk through the house with snow covered boots and pantlegs, you will if you have to pi$$ bad enough.

Yikes....
What happened to Begster's avatar

Humbug
Hahahaha. I guess I'm not the only one who knew which posts were mine only by looking at the avatar.

My prep is done. unburied the snow blower from the back of the shed, and reassembled it. Moved the cars so the 4wd cars are not blocked.

And the most important prep, put the Briarwood out of harms way.

This is a pretty serious storm. Driving home today from brick I saw dozens of cars scattered getting bottomed out on snow drifts. I even got stuck cutting the curb in a snow pile. (thank god for the rocking teqnique lol).

my front pinion seal hates me

just finished partially digging out my driveway with the snowblower. 14 inches so far and still coming down.

Spent my day in the snow plowing for the place where I work. Finally when I got out at 10ish I drove around town with my girlfriend and her sister.

I decided to stop a few places to get pictures because I was bored and this has been the most snow I have seen in a while. The top and bottom pictures are from an intersection on the main road going through town, no one was around so I decided it was a good spot for a picture. The middle one is just from a parking lot that wasn't plowed. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures.

At one point while driving down this road the only four vehicles on the road were XJs, it was kinda funny.

It's still snowing here. Pushing close to 20 inches as of right now.

EDIT: Hey DITA how were those new duratracs in the snow?

Well just got done digging out the gf's car she got it stuck last night in the driveway but we finished out about 2' here in Hammonton. Had to work the bar last night and saw lots of people getting stuck, even jacked up trucks!! My stock xj didn't get stuck once and even pulled a CJ out of a snow drift on my way home!!! Gotta love it!!!

She must have been blinded by the snow

got at least a foot so far down here. i measured 8" in my back yard at 2 am... hard to tell right now though because it's kinda drifty snow. no signs of it slowing down either. makes me want to go drive more.

EPIC traction two wheel drive or four wheel drive it didn't matter went throught the snow like it wasn't even there. I even towed my mom's minivan through a foot of snow with it so the dura tracs get an A +++++
