Left Hand Canyon Decision

I'm actually kind of interested in hearing more about the two additional rock crawling areas the Director is wanting to open. Seems like a fair trade and I can see their concern since water does run down the trail much of the year. I'd imagine the Forest Service will have absolutely NO problem getting OHV groups to help in building the additional trails. A user fee seems reasonable. I've always been an advocate for proposing an OHV license for our kinds of vehicles to help with the costs associated to keeping our lands open and maintained.

I'll be watching this issue.

I personally find individual site access fees to be annoying, especially when we're talking about public land. If it is a road, it's a road and our registrations pay for it.

Still, I find it encouraging that they do want OHV input and help from clubs.
I know our little 15 miles of "Official" trail in the Nicolet forest wouldn't exist without the help of FS employees and local Clubs.
The stated miles of trail they said would be reduced, but the number of trails would increase. Also sounds like they want to make special single track trails (MC).
I guess if a Fee helps pay for the improvements...
