Leaf spring liners

yezzir, i do!!

been thinking about painting between leafs with EZ glide graphite paint, but this seems like a better course of action

i havent taken exact measurements, but off the top of my head, the longest insert should be 51" right? would it have to be 5 inserts?

better question, whats the total length needed per leaf pack?

thanx for the offer dukie!

Or do both like me!

yes longest insert would be 51", I figure 15-17 ft of liner per pack with waste. Should be plenty for 3 jeeps, or at least 2.

i read somewhere too much anti-friction is not good on leaf springs... would cause more axle wrap & increase body roll in turns... i contemplated doing both, but that theory makes sense & deterred me to use on a DD

definitely interested in the liners tho... keep me posted:thumbup:

will do! As long as you have sufficient spring rate you'll be fine with flexy springs. They're supposed to move

that's true... i'm riding on stock leafs w/AAL... along with the liners, i'll be putting in relocating brackets... i'll probably end up coating some graphite paint between them as well & see what happens

I used slip plate paint and the stock type spring end pads with 1/8" spacers from a chevy pickup between each leaf in the center. The springs dont touch except at the ends. They flex and ride great and it was way cheaper than lining the entire pack.

I used Slip Plate on my National pack. I'd say it was completely worn off after the first run. Never noticed a difference while it was there, at least.

hmmm...i've heard good things. I guess I'll find out for myself!
