Chicago Spring and Bumper
4647 W Lake Street

$7.50 a piece vs MORE u-bolts at $11.50 a piece...

Unfortunately they don't have any leaf plates...

Any suggestion on local sources?

MORE wants $16.50 a plate

whats going up front to match the full width rear?

Winterfest placed a necesity on my Full width 9" rear swap as well

, not sure if im going to be able to get both the hpd44 and the 9" in during the same weeked - so it looks like we'll both be running full width rear with a d30 front...

as for the plates - wouldnt any plates from a pick and pull that normaly worked for an 8.8 work?

Ixnay on the platenay....

Custom plates have been ordered and will be the bumpstop duty variety...

I've got a HP44 with Radius Arms sitting on the on deck circle...

I'm probably just going to do a little sleeving to the arms and attach a JJ at the frame end...

that's a slightly bigger project involving frame sleeving and custom crossmember/longarm mount under development by Cabo Manufacturing...

Did I mention I'm gonna get sawzall sickness as soon as the weather breaks?

Yes, with some minor cutting/trimming.

See if Brad can build them? You know they will NEVER bend.

Brad will be busy building his own junk for a long, long time.
He built me a set a while ago, but I never got them drilled out for bolts.
They have the bumpstop extension.
I don't know if they are here or there(IN), but we will look in to it.
I recently went with DPG plates, and have plates from my 8.25.
Let me know, Gil.

I found some plates awhile back at a couple of different local farm stores...TSC...and Orchelyn...was where I found mine. These stores usually have all the plates and u-bolts and perches....just about anything you need. They have them in stock in around the same area that some of their cheap build-it-yourself trailer kits are located at. Some of them were chintzy...but I ended up finding some really heavy ones that worked well for the Zuki project I was doing. That first pic showing your spring perches shows some pretty bad pinion angles...lol.
