My last post might have been a little unhelpfull, so i spent a couple minutes in paint to show how it might be done otherwise.
OH, and if you end up doing the plastidip thing, add in some bleached playground sand, plastidip is pretty damn slippery when wet... You could also use skateboard grip tape... but thats only gonna give you grip.
