Labor Day run?

I'd be up for some wheeling Billy. I'd prefer either of the harder trails like the Con or Fordyce, etc. Like a Sat/Sun wheel with Monday maybe left open to get recoup on. :guitar:

Anyone else want to make this Labor Day run? Bring the kids before they have to go back to school.

I'm most likely up for something. I don't like disconnecting my RE swaybar, how about a nice graded dirt road?

Come on Phil, I'll help you get it reconnected. I had the re sway bar disco on my 91' Wrangler and like that you can remove the entire middle sectionm it is a bit harder to get reconnected, but nothing we cannot do. You just need to get reconnected on flat section like the street. I don't have a sway bar or track bar on my big Wrangler and no sway bar on my 91' xj. They are too much of a pain to put back on and I've gotten used to the body roll without them on. My xj is just my wheeler so I don't ride it as much as you might so you might still want your sway bar connected. Anyways we'll make sure your aired up and sway bar connected before you hit the pavement pal. :D

Anybody have plans for Labor Day weekend? A friend invited me to The 'Con, but I'm affriad it's gonna be a little too crowded for my liking. I would like to get out though... who's up for some wheelin'?

Are we invited? I wouldn't mind doing Fordyce again and/or the Con during Labor day. We cannot take these trails for granted, they are practically in our backyard.

Are you up to doing Fordyce again Lee? When I blew my motor in my 91' yj at the Badlands Offroad Park in IN I went back with my heavily modified 94' yj and walked all over the stuff I got stuck in before. My point is that I felt the park defeated me once, but I made sure it didn't happen again. To keep with the thread theme: Let's try to get a smaller (3-8 rigs) group out to Fordyce and/or the Con 9/4-6. I had a good time on Fordyce this weekend and it was great being a big event and all but a smaller group would give us a better chance at getting through the trail faster. I too think the Con would be way to packed even with the Spider lake ban in effect. We didn't see to many other people on the Fordyce trail except for other xj'ers in our group.

As the weekend is just a little less than a work week ahead...who is still in for wheeling Fordyce or the Con this coming Labor Day weekend? I have a few small issues I'm working on, but plan on being there. Where should be meet up? How's Sam's Club on Greenback in CH for some cheap gas?

im down to go for sure. i dont know about the set up though, im running a 4.5 RE with 33's no rocker guards or n e thing. what u guys think. o yah no gears or lockers.

http://www.cardomain.com/id/boostykid take a look let me know what u think. i want to go though it would be awesome.

It's up to you if you come or not. You really have to watch your rockers though because there are lots of big rocks and ledges. If you don't mind a little body damage then definately come, if you care, then maybe hitch a ride with 1 of us. You should do fine with your 33's & 5" lift though. I have a winch and straps. Just let me get in front of you. The view from the back of Poomba on the big NAXJA run wasn't the greatest. If have some spare dana 30/35 shafts bring them, I have both non disco and disco dana 30 spare shafts.

Fordyce with no locker is going to make for a very long day.

Fordyce with no rocker protection is going to make for a very expensive body shop bill.
