Legally... there's a good question. Personally, I'm not aware of anything really closer than the Pipeline area, or Rib Mountain (?)

I live in La Crosse (Onalaska to be technical...), current residence is Menomonie WI, where I'm in college...

Legally, no wheres around there is there public off-roading, or any private parks for that matter... Best bet is to make yourself a good friend of someone with a farm and some old logging roads, etc...
I am trying to plan a early summer M&G up at Northwoods Overland, thats bout as close as you'll find...

P.S. Whatcha got for a rig, we may have passed each other round town... Also if you're on Facebook, look up the MWC, can post pics, etc there...

While I am not from WI, I would like to point out that you asked about legal wheeling places, and that is the right way to do it! :thumbup: If your up for a drive, there are a few places within reach.

Thanks! I actually live in onalaska too. I just got my rig, so you might not have seen it around. Just looking more on the side of adventuring out and about vs extreme wheeling....lol for now anyway.
