KMC XD222

So I'm looking for beadlock wheels and came across these KMC wheels.

I've seen them as low as $252.00 per wheel. I was also looking at the high impact Rock 8 wheels, but at 46 lbs and $216.00 per wheel, those aluminum KMC's look pretty good. Unfortunately I do not know the weight of the KMC's but I'm guessing they are a bit lighter. Anyone ever run these wheels? I've read pretty good things about them. Also, does anyone have a better source? I'm looking at a 17x8 5 on 5.5 with a 0 offset and 4.5 back spacing.

Those look pretty sweet, but you do know you want more unsprung weight when offroading right? So you want a heavier rim.

Thats a valid point, when I worked at SpiderTrax I remember the guys filled the front tires nearly halfway with water on the shop's competition buggy.

I'm thinking of making my own rims out of lead. They'll give me loads of grip, and protect me from communist nukes too.

Thanks man. That price came from 4x4groupbuy. I did a bit more research and there is quite a spectrum of opinions. People either love them or hate them. I may have to suck it up and get some trail ready or walker evens.

ya that was a killer price....we dont order enough rims from them to get a great deal....
but i love em...not sure i could justify a G on soething when i still have both open diffs /factory shafts....lol....but if i had the money for it those are sweet...make sure you post what you do get
