JV Apr 11-13....eating/wheeling...who's going?

I think Crash probably wasn't being too specific, In what USED to be Saddams backyard would be close enough :).

I am up for the Caravan down, time sounds fine.

Right in the friggin middle! I think it's easier to get him from the 5 side, he is just North of where 152 comes in.

If you guys come down 5 I'll meet up with you someplace.

Forrest, be safe and make it home in one piece!

I still don't know weather or not I'll make it for this one. The wife goes in for minor surgery on the 9th. I probably won't know untill that week if it's a go. Besides, I've got about 10 more coats of wax to go before I'm happy with the shine. I've also got to wait for the LED tail pipe I ordered last week. The rig just isn't trail ready without it. I know I won't make it down thursday if I go. It probably won't be untill Friday night before I make it.

I think 5 is the best, as Matt pointed out to me there are less towns to go through and the speed limit is a little higher so we can go faster.

Yeah, cause what I need to be doing in my barely-road-worthy junk is going faster than 55.

Heck, ya shoulda been followin' Matt towing his tractor and Richard in his rolled junk on the highway coming back last time.
I was at my upper end of maximum comfortable speed! :D

Actually with my T-case bearing replaced, and the vibes gone, I can hit 75 with no problem....

careful towing boys. I got pulled over by CHP doing 70 coming back from JV in november. It was one of the code enforcement guys in the dodge ram trucks. Tough to come up with a good excuse when I had the radar detector on the dash board. No ticket, but just by the skin of my teeth.

Don't feel too bad. I got a ticket just this side of Bakersfield towing my junk down to JV earlier this month. He rote me up for 65 on 99. I was just cruising slow looking for the turn off to get to Goatmans house. I had commercial big rigs blowing my doors off & this guy decides to nail the poor chump on vacation towing his toy. $400 later & traffic school yet to take, I'll have a clean record again. It sucks that they double the fines if you have a commercial license.

I heard somewhere that they won't let you take traffic school if you have a commercial license. I got pulled just north of Fresno, probably pretty close to your exit.

Hi guys,

Just got back from four days in Yosemite........the Ahwahnee Hotel sure is nice.

I have to work till noon on Friday, so I won't be able to join you guys for a run that day. If you left early on Friday, I'd hook up with you, and then run a quick trail late Friday afternoon and evening..........night run on Sledge, anyone?? :D

Curtis, Mil, probably Andy, and maybe a few others will be there all day on Friday, so you'll have someone to run a trail with. Mil was going to drive up that morning, probably should pop over to the SoCal forum and set something up with him for Friday if you guys are for sure going down Thursday afternoon.

If you guys are mostly coming from Sacramento, I'd stay on Hwy 99 rather than I5. It's shorter if you're going to go through Bakersfield to hit Hwy 58 east. Be sure to hit Mil's poll on the SoCal forum so he knows how much food to bring for Sat night's dinner.

How about Wreaking Ball on Saturday?

Is SoCal a Yahoo group? I just got on the Yahoo group, but it's a pain in the arse.

Why don't they have a BBS, or am I missing something?

CRASH

OK, I like the SoCal NAXJA chapter site much better. That mail server kills me!
