Just Another XJ on tons, coilovers, 42's, etc. Build

Ok so a little update...

I haven't fallen on the face of the earth per se.

Graduated May 13th with my B.S. in Mech. Eng. and Minor in Biomedical engineering . Landed a job in Longmont for the time being working on electronics.

But funny how life can throw ya curveballs...especially in a nearly 3 year relationship:smsoap::rolleyes:...so needless to say motivation for anything had been severly lacking for a bit...but its starting to come back little by little now.

As far as time goes...between commuting to work, work, and the gym everyday it hasn't left me with much time during the week to work on the rig...but that should hopefully change soon. Been using the weekends lately to more escape and just have some fun again with life to help everything.

Did get my steering (minus orbital mounted) done the other day...really happy with it. I'll try and get pictures posted up of it here soon :D

I've got another XJ i'm trying to drop a motor in to get sold that ahs been taking a little bit of precedence over the buggy...but work on the buggy should pick up pretty heftily here soon...I wanna WHEEL GATDAMNIT!!!

WOO HOOOO!!!!!!

get that shit done!!!!

lemme know if ya need a hand man ill come up on a weekend to help ya out some, just give me a heads up

As soon as I can get back to work on it...updates will follow :D

Been trying to get an engine back in my '91 so I can get it up for sale. In the middle of the engine swap the clutch on my '98 went out, so got to drop the tranny on that to get it repaired...FML

Now this weekend is re-lease on the house time, so going to be dealing with people moving in/out while possibly trying to get the motor fully in and running on the '91.

So maybe in a couple weeks I'll actually start being able to crank on it again.

well if ya would quit going out drinking ........

Hey damnit...i'm living up my summer...something I haven't been able to do in a long while, especially while I was in school :D

And since I'm *recently* single again (not by choice) after a near 3 year relationship...i'm making sure to enjoy going out to get over things and have fun

Between work, 2 hours of commuting, and going on my runs training for a half marathon...time during the week is next to NIL.

Hey, i see lotsa mention of beer and other fun things and no invite :nono:

Hell man your in Boulder...feel free to come on up pretty much any weekend...I go out alot haha.

I'll be in Donner, CA for a WEROCK event next weekend, and Vegas the weekend after that...but anytime after that I'm game. You really need to come up especially for some brewery touring, oh yeah and to check out the rig :D

Damn, now this is advanced fab.

Makes me want to take my build thread and put it on cherokee talk:roflmao:

Well...a *little* bit of an update:

Got this little beauty done FINALLY...been slowly working at it forever now.

Sandblasted and painted the case and got it re-fitted with AA HD Rear Output, JB HD Front output, new 1310 front CV yoke, rear HAD Toyota Flange, a complete rebuild kit, all new bolts, and ground out the shift rail. :greensmok

Got this sucker in the other night...and yes it HAS to be clocked like that for my setup. I won't BEGIN to tell you the nightmare that kinda caused me redrilling the Tranny adapter thingy. :flamemad:

Next up is getting the D300 all bolted up in there, then measuring for my rear DS so Jess at HAD can get me one made up :D as well as ordering and getting the cable shifters setup.
