JunkYard Find, Roof and Upper Doors all molded in FIBERGLASS

I can clear a few things up. It is a RHD XJ for sure. Engine bay component placement, steering, steering whee, stereo, as well as the 4 switch bezel give it away. So I'm gonna say you are looking at a UK XJ here, best guess at this point. Also good eyes on the LHD WJ dash; the fact that it fits between the A pillars intrigues the hell out of me. As far as everything else goes, I haven't a damn clue. Should have pulled the VIN, that'd help a little bit.

DJ's gotta be correct. Note the placement of the window switches on the doors, the direction of the windshield wipers too. Definitely this XJ was originally a RHD. Interesting that so much modification was done and not one bit of it really makes any sense.

Someone PLEASE go get the VIN and see what comes up.

Also couldn't hurt to talk to the guy that buys the cars for the yard - he may know the story behind it.

I believe that vehicle may be from Bolivia.....over there they convert vehicles over like that and drive them on Bolivia's major mountain highway called "death road" which is a road literally clinging to the side of a mountain with 2000ft drop offs and no guard rail. The truck drivers there often drive for 20hrs at a time and chew cocoa leaves to stay awake!!!

They call the vehicles "transformers" oddly enough. What they do is move the controlls over to the other side and leave the instrument panel where it is and beef up the suspension a little, supposedly its cheaper for them to transform their vehicles rather than buy them with the steering on the side they want. They also wrap inner tubes around broken tie rod ends to get them buy for a few more miles!!!!:scared:
