I am headed to the Wilmington yards in the morning, around 9ish, anyone want to tag along?

I was at the Ontario yard off the 60 and milliken. The white 97 has the entire front end removed so it is kinda hard to tell the year. The windshield says 97.

I thought the Ontario yard was a pick "your" part. Maybe I'm wrong.

thats ok, i thought it was a pick your part too. up untill i called them a couple days ago to confirm the half price days. boy did i feel stupid.:wierd:
allthough i do like the ontario yard, i dont mind going elswere for a good deal. just havnt been to the pick "your" parts in a long time, so i dont know how they are for XJ quantity at the moment.

At a yard in pomona, corner of mission and east end, few cherokees still intact. A bumper mounted tire carrier, half taken apart, bolts are inside the cargo area. The striker part that attaches to the hatch has 2 stripped torx bolts though(not my doing) quite a few grand cherokees with nice seats too. Oh! In a 80's chevy truck towards the back there are 2 cans of dry kidney beans good til 2012, a drivers license expired since 96, and a jar of peanut butter. I love random junkyard finds/little treasures.

Anybody ever been to the Ecology yard in Rialto or Fontana? Any 97+ Cheorkees there? They are offering 50% this weekend and I may do an early morning run to one if they have newer years. I still need the headlight bezel and some random interior plastic pieces.

I picked up an alternator out of a grand and a battery tray - $22.00
I may head over to ecology this weekend as well to grab a power steering box. The price quoted to me for 50% off was $33.00 from PAP, so hoping it is close to the same cost tomorrow.

Just scoped out the Oceanside yard and only saw two xjs. One 99+ in the primo yard with a d35 and one early 90s in the regular yard that is pretty well parted already.

was the early xj the green one, and did you happen to notice if the transfer case was still in it? i scoped it out a week ago for the 242 that i need.

Yeah it was the green one. The tcase was still in but it was pre 1990 (I think) so I didn't bother to see if it was a 242 or a 231. I need a post 1990 for the 23 spline input.

Will do, but funds are a little tighter than I expected them to be. I've basically had to rebuild the front suspension on my honda. I'll be in touch when the funds are back on track.
