Great time with everyone that showed. Lots of wind friday and great wheeling all weekend!

Shcool isn't fun, and I would have loved to watch all of you wheel(my XJ aint close to tackling a trail like that.) Now onto the good stuff:

1. Awesome pictures. Seeing other folks rigs always gives me ideas for mine.

2. Cant wait to visit there someday, and may be even wheel.

So a big  to all of you that went. Very cool!!

Nice sticker Norman.......how long have you been pimpin' for Hinkley?:D

Let me guess, he installed that for you, and by doing so, you were able to conquer all that JV had to offer...........truely a test of ORGS products.....hehehe

Cool pix, looks like ya'll had a good time and I'm crazy jeleous that I wasn't able to go............

Here's my pics: http://fototime.com/inv/5E6336BF5484C64

It was a great trip. I ran out of battery and didn't get pics at the last of Outer Limits or on Sledgehammer. The water has torn up those trails, both OL and Sledge were as hard as I've seen them.......lot's of fun. :D

Outer Limits on Saturday took it's toll on some of the rigs. There were six broken front axles, a badly bent tie rod (twice), a ripped off cross member, Dan collapsed both upper control arms and broke the front yoke, and FarmerMatt bent his rear driveline. Rick broke three front axle joints, Mil broke an inner spline on one side and the yokes on the other, and Jes broke an axle joint. We finished OL barely in the dark, headed for camp at 5:45. Not really too bad for 12 rigs and that much breakage on a long, tough trail.

I broke the bottom out of a front shock and smashed the hell out of my muffler and exhaust on Sledgehammer Sunday. Sledge was a kick, harder than usual, and tight.

It was nice to have Jes down from the Bay area, TRNDRVR came out from Utah, and C-Rok and Rick Norman came over from Phoenix. The food at the Friday night pot luck was great, and TRNDRVR made some very good tri tip. Rick and Joe made Sobe bombs, which got everyone's attention.

Other than the wind Friday night that blew some of the tents down, it was a really great trip.

Sounds Like lots of fun, sorry I missed out.

But GEESH thats a lot of axle carnage!

How did Rick break 3 was he running 260s or something :)

He broke three on Sat, he also broke one on Friday.

He was running 297's in stock shafts with welded caps, until he had to use spares with 260's and welded caps. Actually, Rick didn't break them all, Joe helped out. :D

Damn, I wish I wasn't hacking a lung up and I woulda made it. Great pics BTW.

I don't know what all the CTM hype is about, 760's are just fine for the hardest trails.

Also, gearing is over-rated. Who needs more than 3.55's?

In fact excessive gearing may have contributed to the rate of U-joint failure. ;)

CRASH

Great pics, great people, kick ass trails, all make for a wonderful weekend. The smack talk is a lot of fun too. It was great seeing you all again although this trip had more carnage than I've seen in a long time. I still don't know why you guys are complaining about the wind so much, I slept just fine.

Matt

PS
CRASH, CTM's had little to do with it. Soft stock shafts were to problem & we all figured out that 3:55's are last weeks news. 3:07's are where it's at.

Great trip everyone! Even with the wind storm, cold temps, and the broken pieces it was a lot of fun. I was able to drive home at 80 MPH without any signs of what my junk had been through, pretty amazing. :D
I still have a bunch of pics from OL and Sledge to upload but here are a few...

still alive

Hey, Even though I got sick over the weekend, I really enjoyed thrashing my equipment with what I consider the best XJ drivers on the planet in the hardest terrain that is available. I always enjoy my trips with you guys.

I made it home ok. unloaded and put the equipement away and got a good shower and crashed for the rest of the day. Took the day off today and it seems like I'm on the downhill side of this bug that got hold of me.

Thanks to all of you that helped spot, pitched in to help with my repairs and made for a great weekend.

All of you have a great holiday.
Mil

I can tell you....even though it was cold, windy and oh yeah, the DAMN fox..... I am looking forward to BOTW 3.... I regret not having my XJ this weekend, But thanks to rick letting me drive (and break) his junk, I got enough of the fix to want to go back......:) It was GREAT seeing everyone again and drinking and all of the NAXJA type party was great....When I got home I fell asleep and woke up this morn, just in time to get to work....:( Oh well.....It was a BLAST!!!! Thanks to richard for loaning me the gloves to keep my hands warm, and thanks to everyone for not kicking my arse for NOT bringing my XJ.....Next time the SOBE bombs will be perfected and maybe, just maybe if we do them right, they will be seen from space!!!!! Cant wait!!!! Oh mark....when are we gonna patent the "tool".....

:paperwork :lecture:
