I bought an electric fan from Summit a few months ago because my electric fan finally died. At the same time I replaced the radiator because I cracked it installing the new fan.
Today, one of the blades on the new electric fan snapped off (out of nowhere), which caused it be be quite out of balance. Because of the mounting system (ties that go through the radiator), it shook so bad it cracked the radiator in like 6 places. Then I had to have it towed from Grass Valley to the tune of $135! My question is... does Summit owe me a new fan and radiator? or at least a fan??:

Oh man that sucks! If it was a failure because of the fan being made wrong, I would think that you should get a new fan at least. In a perfect world they would also cover your radiator and towing bill which was caused by their component failure. Is this also your daily driver?

I doubt they would do the rad but I would say a new fan. A guy in gerogia bought my spare gdi I have not shipped it yet I should have you email him and tell him you need it so I don't have to find a box

Unfortunatly thats a somewhat common problem with some of those aftermarket fans, apparently some of the cobra guys have had problems with them also.

Phil, yeah it was my daily driver, but until we get back from Moab, my daily driver is a 15 speed!

Thanks bro, but so far, I've got Summit to agree to replace the fan... so we'll see if I can get anything else out of them.
