I built a jeep bed for my son. The engine bay is his toy box and it has working headlights, rollcage and rock rails. I even found some 22" ATV tires to throw under it.

I've been tossin round the idea of buildin my grandson a bed kindasorta lookin like an XJ been doin a little sketchin n thinkin.Gonna make it outta pvc.Just gotta figure how to brace it etc and have it still look like an XJ.It will be glued
w/ pvc cement and I will fit it up before I glue it.Could possibily use some material for body panels,top etc.Might even throe in some batery operated lights n stuff like that.I got some ideas but wanna completely think this out before I start....Which is the complete opposite if I was working on MY XJ

I wanna be a kid again....wait....It's never too late to have a happy childhood. Wonder if the wife will go for a Ca. King size Jeep bed and tire tracks on the walls?! Hmmm.....
Very cool stuff, need pics of these finished rooms to admire. Guess I could always just do the garage, it is MY play room after all.

Yeah yeah.....We need PICS!!!! I have been searching and searching for something like this....NADA! I have had the idea of the toy box for a hood...What size matress did you use?

Yeah. It was the down under episode. They made a entertainment center out of the front clip. The grill folded down and the A/V stuff was in there and a plazma screen came up where the windshield should be.
