I watched that truck pull a really built WJ up a 50 foot embankment that the driver had rolled down. Actaully, it wasn't really an embankment so much as it was the side of the mountian. He had to pull the thing up at about a 50-60* angle. Had to attach to several trees to keep from pulling down the hill himself. By the time the WJ was at the top of the hill, Towzilla was leaning rather dramatically downhill despite all the supporting riggings - he nearly pulled a few trees down with him. That sucker is HUGE though. I dunno what the tow bill was - but it was more than I'd ever like to pay, that's for sure!

Beezil...

Beez you must be too cheap for a cable modem. Mine loads in a quarter second. Actually these were shrunk down as far as Photoshop would allow. My new Nikon D100 will only write a file as small as 900K minimum so they all get down sized as far as possible in Photoshop.

You've been to Tellico..When????

I've been to Tellico 3 times since I got my XJ (although the last time I went was without my XJ). I got my truck May 02. My parents live in Athens, GA - and my dad has a Rubicon, so we go wheeling, usaully Tellico, whenever I come to visit. I went Jan 03, Mar. 03 and Aug. 03 (this one without my jeep).

I'm leaving this weekend to spend most of November with my folks, so maybe I'll get another chance to go. Although, we are already planning on going with Southern Jeeps to Windrock...

There are some pictures from my second trip on my webshots page - check my profile for the link, if your curious. I don't have any yet of the third trip with Towzilla dragging the WJ up - but I'm sure my dad does so I will try to get them and post them when I get there...

Anybody else seen the new towzilla? It was a Dodge truck dressed up the same way... At least I think that's what my eyes saw last month.

So what year ford had a passenger-side drop axle in the front?

It looks like an old grain truck that has been shortend

Hello...I found this site & topic on a Google search. I am the owner & builder of this old truck. Some of ya`ll might know me from stopping by, or from Crawford`s campground. Yes, the old truck is now a Dodge. ``Towzilla`` is now retired, & ``Ramzilla`` has taken it`s place. I don`t know how to post pics here, but this is a link to a towing forum where I have several pics of the last build. http://p223.ezboard.com/ftow411frm9.showMessage?topicID=778.topic
Thanks for the interest, & please stop by & visit the next time you go to Tellico. Tim

Sweet rig. Hope I never see you :laugh3:
