Mine is a 2000 with the AW4 i believe. And distributor-less.
After I swapped it out, I followed the directions for doing the fuel synchronization (lined up the CPS with a toothpick while the cam was at top dead center). Should I try to do it again? Would this be a symptom of my fuel synch being off?

I answered a thread recently for a guy with a 2000 and his problem was a fuse for the oxygen sensor circuit. You DO have a fuse for this. I'm pretty sure it is #16 or possibly #17 in the power distribution center under the hood. It is possible that it isn't marked properly.
Start pulling fuses OUT and verifying that they are okay.
