Wow when it goes it goes. I was all pumped because my new steering comes in this week and I was going to have enough extra $ for 2 new tires because my front 2 are worse then bald. So Monday night I pull into the drive in the gfs car and see that the inside of my tire was wet. Well that ended up turning into 2 wheel cylinders all new brake lines and shoes. And when i was looking at the brake leak I foumd a pretty decent oil leak. Wth! But I am 2000 away from 100000 on the odometer. Then I'm still fighting the wobble. Determined I need new ball joints. So what should I be expecting to go next?

Had my wheel cylinders go bad a few weeks ago. Brake pedal completely hard going to work, leaving, no pedal at all.

Im hoping that there isn't much more. The front end should be good. It has nee wheel bearings less then 3000 miles ago. all new steering goes in friday along with ball joints hopefully. Will ned brakes soon on the front.

I'd say your lucky. I've always heard all vehicles start having problems around 100k. But again maybe I'm just unlucky. But I can't complain too much. Cant really beat the labor rates since I work in a shop and have access to everything. just gettong myself to do it is the biotch. When you work on cars all day you don't want to clock out and do it more. Almost rather pay to have it done ha

Preventative maintenance is awesome...... and yeah to hell with wheel cylinders! Can't wait until i have my 8.8 in so i never have to see drums on my rear axle again! :D I've spent far more on upgrades than replacement parts because I keep an eye on things.

My new driver side ball joints turned into ball joints on both sides, that turned into a dodge durango steering gearbox upgrade which then moved onto replacing bent upper control arms with full adjustable ones. So then I decided I might as well put a adjustable trac bar in so the heep sat straight. then I threw on quick disconnects just cause it made sense. That turned into trying to find rear disc brake conversion... Said to he77 with that and upgraded to a rear ford 8.8 with disc brakes an LSD and 4.10 gears, now I'm driving around in rwd cause the 4.10s I ordered for the front are standard cut, not reverse... Ohh and now my exhaust manifold is cracked so I'm looking at replacing that too...

It starts with a cool side-project and ends up consuming all your spare time for a good month or eight....

P.S. just picked up the new rear shocks tonight since we made the new mounts flush with the axle so the 3in shocks I had bottomed out over every bump... Now I'm back to stock shocks in the back...

Maybe your chain is stretched. Thats cheaper than an SYE but while you got it out you may as well put one on. I'd be glad to help.

i dont think its the chains. but who knows could be wrong. but he said that the yoke had a lot of play and movement when i shifted back and forth. i will probably be ordering a sye next friday. i just ordered 2 new tires today so im back to broke. especially since this week wasnt pay week. just need to find a front drive shaft. what all could i get a drive shaft out of xj/zj? and thanks. ill definitely need the help. i dont know what im doing haha or what brand of sye to buy. but i am pretty sure that i dont want a h&t i want to do the actual sye

yeah no shit dude tell me about it. but i look at the bright side now i have to get the stuff. before i had the money but would rather spread it out more. beer....tools....more beer....then some more tools. now i have to get the jeep done so its alright. ive been wanting to do all this for awhile so now i have to. plus looking at the plus side of it....look at all the goodies im adding.

Ok well....new one ton steering. RE 1600 track bar with new heim and spacers, RE double shear drop bracket. New wheel bearings, ball joints. Still have horrible wobble, so took it to Sunfire Offroad today and letting them deal with it. Im over it lol
